Your backing and batting must be at least 4” larger than your quilt top on all 4 sides. Meaning your backing and batting must be at least 8” wider and longer than your quilt top.
Example: if your quilt top is 60” x 70” then the back and batting must be at least 68” x 78”.
Press your quilt top and your backing. Neatly fold them to avoid wrinkles.
Trim loose threads. Dark threads might show through under light fabric.
If your border has a lot of piecing (like piano keys) you may want to stay-stitch around the edge of your quilt top so border seams don’t pop open.
If your quilt top or backing is directional, please place a note in the upper left corner of each so I can properly load them onto the frame.

Edge-to-edge (“e2e”) quilting is $0.022 per square inch (2.2 cents) for the vast majority of patterns. If you choose a very dense pattern, the price is $0.025/sq. in. which we will discuss together before moving forward.
To calculate the total square inches of your quilt top, multiply the width by the length. Example: a top that measures 60” x 70” is 4,200 sq. in.
Custom borders can be added to e2e quilting for an additional $25 per border with in-person review of quilt top.
Example: If you’d like a custom border in your 6” border and a custom border in your 2” sashing, that would be an additional $50.
Custom quilting is available upon request with in-person review of quilt top and starts at $0.07/sq. in.
Minimum quilting fee of $55 applies to all quilting methods.
To determine the total cost, take the square inches and multiply by the price for the quilting method requested. Add the price for custom borders if desired.

I carry Quilters Dream batting at the “Select” loft (the most popular loft) and charge by the yard.
I buy the batting on a roll which only has one fold crease — as opposed to packaged batting which will have several creases.
I have 96” rolls and 60” rolls and will cut the batting to the appropriate size for your quilt top, ensuring you pay the least amount possible. Leftovers are yours to keep.
I have a variety of batting material: 100% cotton, 80/20 cotton/poly blend, poly, and black poly (ideal for dark colored quilts).
Price varies by material.
